BBQ Oven Ribs

Ingredients

  • 6 lbs Pork Rib Rack
  • 1 Jar BBQ Sauce
  • 0.5 Cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tbps Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tbps Onion Powder
  • 1 Tbps Chili Powder
  • 2 tsp Cumin
  • 1 Tbsp Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Black Pepper

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 275 degrees
  2. In a small bowl mix dry rub( brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper) until combined and set aside
  3. Rinse pork ribs and pat dry with paper towels
  4. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs, I've provided a how-to link above
  5. Spread the dry rub all over the ribs making sure to cover both sides.
  6. Wrap ribs tightly in foil meat side up, place on baking sheet
  7. Bake for 3 hours for spare ribs, 2 hours for baby back ribs or until fork tender
  8. Open foil and drain the liquid from the ribs. Brush your favorite barbecue sauce on the ribs, broil for 5 minutes
  9. Remove and let the ribs rest 5-10 minutes before cutting
